Wanted to see if anyone has/had a similar experience really! I think I psyched myself out with nerves for this run today. Why? Who knows. I found myself really nervous before I went out, I’ve briefly touched on the nerves in my last post, but this carried on into probably half of the run? Why is that? I did it but found it hard. Mentally. I found I spent the first half thinking ‘this is hard’ ‘I can’t do this’ ‘is my 90s nearly done?’ ‘Oh no there’s people coming the other way’ etc. It’s left me a bit disheartened because I have thoroughly enjoyed the last 4 runs. Has anyone else experienced this early on?
Also discovered I hadn’t drank enough in the day as my throat was bone dry when I got back ☹️ My bad.
I’m venting! Sorry! 🤦🏻♀️

Thank you so much for this link. I’ve found it extremely helpful 👍🏻
I'm not that good at advice but maybe it's just a bad day, run,or both. Try and stay positive and even try a different place or route to run . To be honest I do my run first thing in the morning when it's quite as I suffer from anxiety . As for you thinking this is hard mid run I'm the same lol. I start week 4 tomorrow and it's going to kill me I know lol. Don t give up, you can do this . ✌✌
If I'm not worrying then I worry that I'm not worrying because i have obviously forgotten what i should be worrying about! 🙈
I have just finished week 6 and have found that on the days i run my anxiety isn't as bad. I try to do the run first thing if i can as the positive vibes carry on through the day which is a novelty for me.
Make sure you drink loads in between run days too. Not only does it make the physical side of running easier, dehydration can actually make the symptoms of anxiety and depression worse.
Keep plugging on. There will be bad days, good days and great days and there is always loads of support on this forum. I think i would have given up by now if it hadn't been for the lovely people on here 😁
You’re definitely not alone in what you’ve experienced Tee, they are just gremlins in your head that will pop up from time to time and make your runs a struggle, but, struggle or not to made it through so you can tell the gremlins they know nothing!!! Keep at it and the memories of bad runs soon get replaced with the good ones, that runners high and that sense of accomplishment is like domestos for gremlins 😜🤘😜🤘
