Advice re holiday

Hi all, I’m currently on W4R1 with one more run scheduled before a holiday to Spain - I don’t want to lose my momentum so I’m feeling nervous about the 6 days off that I doubt I’ll be able to run - will it make much of a difference when I get back? I’ve run every 2 to 3 days up to this point. I plan to pack my trainers for the opportunity to run in Spain but I’m not sure it will happen on a girly, boozy get away tbh 🥴.... any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Knocky-knees, congratulations on your achievements so far. You should find your fitness levels won’t drop very much after just 6 days so don’t worry. If I missed running due to holidays or other commitments I simply repeated a couple of earlier runs and then picked up where I had left off. Have a great time on holiday and good luck with completing C25K. 😀

Bring your running gear as you might be very happy to get away on your own for 30 mins whilst your away. Early morning run in Spain, it’s great.

At least two weeks before we lose fitness :) Enjoy your holiday fun, and you may find a short jogette, before it gets warm, will set you up for your fun with the girls:)

As the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... states, you lose next to no condition in the first two weeks of non running.

Enjoy your holiday.

You’ve got a two week window before you really start to lose your fitness so don’t worry too much. Take your trainers and do a small jog if you can. Early mornings before it gets too hot may be best. If you feel a bit unsure when you come back, just repeat a run you’ve already done. Have a great holiday, come back rested and ready to finish this programme.🏃‍♀️😊

Thank you for your replies, I’ll pack my trainers with the intention of doing a light ‘jogette’ one morning but I’m no longer concerned about losing fitness as I know now i can pretty much pick up where i left off. Thanks team C25K 👍
