My next run will be w7r2

I am supposed to do this this eve, I don’t like to run in the evening and I’ve also developed a horrid sore throat and ear pain.

So my question is, will it hurt to have a longer break than 2 days? It will be a five day break when I next get to run

I’ve never missed a run before....

Well done Beth. I found giving an extra day or two rest really beneficial! Good luck with rest of your journey! Nearly there! 👍👨‍🎓

Two week gap before you notice any drop in fitness. Five days will be fine 😊

I think you will be just fine. Sometimes an extended break gives us fresh legs! I occasionally took two or three days off between runs when I was busy during C25K, and honestly, it was fine. Always better to not run when you are feeling poorly, anyway. If you don't put in such a great performance because you are ill, that can be demoralising (I know this from experience!) Some gentle yoga when you cannot run can do you the world of good, or some core strengthening exercises. I always try to do something else when I cannot run, as it all contributes to your running when you return.

Rest up and feel better soon.

Thanks all, was worried about breaking the habit! We are about to leave to drive 2 hours home so I will make a decision when I get home but not stress if I really don’t feel up to it

Ok so I ran, but only managed 20 mins. I used Runkeeper rather than c25k as I think I knew I probably wasn’t well enough. The pain in my ears is immense!

But at least I went x
