I’ve graduated now!! The only problem I did it alone, my running buddy (daughter) didn’t feel like doing week 8 & 9 with me so I had to go in my own and somehow I had a confidence crisis about the neighbourhood seeing my shuffle with her there as a distraction, so I had to run on the floor at home, not sure I’d it was as effective but it certainly felt like it!!
I don’t know where to go from here, think I’ll continue repeating week 9 until it’s comfortable and then maybe increase it, although I can’t monitor the distance doing it this way. Ah well, at least I got to the end, at the beginning I struggle to run for one minute.😂

You are a runner...a graduate and you need to find somewhere to run where you feel confident... is there a park.. or a canal tow path or similar...playing field even.. some green space?
Folk really are too wrapped up in their own lives to notice us...or they are simply envious.
Some consolidation now... run just because you can... find somewhere you feel you could run and just head out... no distance or time in mind just run..then explore and find a new route or two. and try to extend the time you are out.
You may be on your own but we all run with you... I am the one whispering, slow and steady.
Come on... so many folk have felt like you..trying to be invisible.... and so many are still here running all over the place
I was the Original Grey Snail... not any more... still a snail, but I shine... bright... like the sun, and I don't mind who sees me !
Wow, you should be incredibly proud of yourself. Running on the floor at home sounds much harder. I really empathise with you about getting up the nerve to run outside but honestly I shuffle my overweight body , red faced and sweaty around my village and no one bats an eyelid. Wearing my shades helps me feel more anonymous. I always think that no one knows How far I’ve run, as far as they know I could be at the end of a 20k. Just do it and stuff what anyone thinks, it’s very empowering.
You have done fantastically - and I promise that once you have run outside once on your own, it will just get easier and easier. Do it...and tell us. You owe it to yourself for getting this far. Good luck! 😀🏃🏽♀️💪
