Having done w7r7 tonight I feel I've come to the end of my c25k journey. Tonight was so much harder than r2, I struggled all the way after half way and even though I dug in and lengthened my stride for the last 5 minutes I think me and c25k are done. Why, I hear you ask?
Well, I can set my timer for 25, 28 or 30 minutes and run for as long as I can whilst wearing my wireless headphones and waiting for that moment when Sarah says that's it you are finished for today. Or I can go for a run in a couple of days and a couple of days after that if I feel like it and know that every time i go out I can achieve something and carry on running.
So thank you Sarah, thank you c25k. Now, I'm just an old bloke who goes out for a runa couple of times a week and tries to enjoy it

No I'm not giving up I just think that my goal is to do a park run and now I know I can run for 25 minutes I need to turn my focus to continuing on to achieve that goal and aim for keeping going till I achieve the 5k. Just without the headphones really
I never did use the podcasts or the app. I just downloaded the schedule from this web site and stuck to it. I like to hear the birds sing and being aware of approaching traffic when I run from my house is kinda important because there are no footpaths out here.
The last few weeks did get a bit monotonous. I was yearning to break ranks and go off on my own runs, but I stuck to it, buddied up on here with a few people who were due to graduate about the same time as me (opting out was not really an option after that).
I’m sorry that you are not enjoying c25k. It is a very well designed programme to enable you to get from no running to running for 30 mins and I know I couldn’t have achieved that without Jo Whiley keeping me going through my earphones. I certainly couldn’t have done a Parkrun without slowly building up my fitness over the 9 weeks.
But it horses for courses and maybe a different regime is best for you.
