What was the Injury? Do you think you did too much too soon?

When you are able to get back to some running - try this Japanese slow jogging technique

It’s low impact and designed to avoid injury and pain. But check with your doc & a sports physio- hopefully you’ll be back soon.

I don't know what Ive injured. It was a culmination of things that did it 5k running ine day, family walk up a very very steep hill the next and then a run on the third day.

Had slite hip pain on left side, feel i may have tried to protect that and over compensated with the right hip. Felt this cold pain on right hip and then the pain felt like i had been shot at the top outside of my hip bone. Its tender to touch, makes clothes uncomfortable to wear and easily irritated over and over again.

Seeing a doc next week

And maybe a trip to a sports physio too? Sounds painful - hope you’re on the mend fast.

As the guide to the plan states healthunlocked.com/couchto5... if you have a break from running you just have to go and have a gentle jog to see what you can comfortably manage, then build from there.

Get well soon.

Ouch! I would also recommend seeing a physio who specialises in running (if money allows - I know they can be expensive). They really are worth their weight in gold and will not only be able to identify the problem/ injury but can provide treatment and rehab exercises that will minimize similar injuries in the future hopefully. Good luck.🙂
