At week 8 run 1 I got a knee injury. Not to bad. But now my question is I have had a month off running, would I be OK to start week 8 again or would you go back a few weeks to say week 5.

Try week 6 or 7 maybe. You won’t know till you try.

I got to week 8 run 1 and had a knee injury, I had just over 2 weeks off and went back in at week 6 run 2 which is 2x 10 min runs I think, I then did a 20 min run and onto the 25 minute runs in week 7!

I guess we are all different .

i actually injured myself at the end of week 8 run 1

and had 16 days off, i then went out with no expectations but i started the app as though i was doing my next run (week 8 run 2)

after the first 5 mins i was ok, so did another 5 and so on !

before i knew it i was halfway through the run so carried on and managed to complete it .

so i would say go out and see how you feel but just don't pressure yourself to complete it

As stated in the guide to the plan, healthunlocked.com/couchto5... you lose no significant condition in the first two weeks of non running.

After that loss of condition is gradual.

All any of us can do after a lay off is to go out and see what we can comfortably manage, especially after an injury, then build back up gently, using C25k or something similar as a guide to weekly increase.
