Well here we go; final week of the program and I cannot tell you how amazed I am to be here just having run for 30 bloody minutes!
A couple of months ago 30 seconds was my limit and now look at me; I might actually refer to myself (in hushed tones) as a “runner”.
Today’s run was on a treadmill due to work commitments but the next two should be outdoors. Thursdays with a group of work colleagues who do this a few times a week and have invited me to join them and then Saturdays will be at a parkrun.

It is pretty amazing isn't it! Was exactly the same, so chuffed to run for 30 mins thought well, that will be it, I have made it! Then a little voice in my head says "30mins is good, but how would it feel to do 5k", then then then .....ran 9k the other day and all of a sudden you start talking like 5k is a short run!
Keep it up you are doing great but at some point in your running future you will catch yourself talking about 5 k being a short run, you will smile and think what I have just said!
Hi there isn’t it just I am on week 5 run 1 and keep thinking about the first run for a 1 min it is amazing how quickly you get going although am dreading 20 mins non stop 😳
Don’t dread it - you’re ready for this! So much of this is in our heads. C25K is taking care of the training, we have to battle with our minds! But you are ready and you will nail it!
No need to.dread it the app moves you on brilliantly. Its so clever. Take it slow and speed it up if you feel like it. I used the word dread once and after some inspiration on here have never used it since
How brilliant! What a great plan for your next two runs. It is simply amazing isn’t it?! I’m still staggered by what I can do 6 months from starting! Enjoy!!
