Well, I found it tricky - i was prepared to give up 16 minutes in but carried on, and did all the runs. I was very out of breath by the end, though, and had wobbly legs later on. I'm pleased I got through it but can't say I'm looking forward to Thursday...

First run today!
Well done Clairefun. It definitely gets easier eventually. It really is worth persevering, you just have to tell yourself that you ARE looking forward to Thursday. Good luck and keep us updated.
It does feel good doesn't it? In a couple of weeks you won't be able to wait for the next one, even after a hard run Keep telling us all how its going.
Cool targets as well!
Well done, in a couple of days you'll want to go again and you won't be able to wait.
Just a basic tip, wait at least 1 day between runs to give your body time to recover.
Well done and carry on
Thanks everyone!
Week 1, run2 done today and although I *still* found it hard, I did it all perfectly, well, with lots of panting, and am looking forward to Saturdays run a bit more. I feel I worked a bit harder but it certainly helped knowing that I *could* do it - after all, I'd already done it once!
My mum (who is 72, but size 10) wants to join me next week, but I'm not sure i want her too - I get so hot & sweaty and pant a lot, she may be old but she walks fast all the time and I think she's a *lot* fitter than i am. I don't want to feel embarrassed. Dunno how to tell her though as she thinks it'll be encouragement for me. I was doing it myself already though! She means well. Should I just try it with her there anyway? I worry it'll put me off from trying too hard as I don't want to be self-conscious.
