First 5K run today!

I graduated from C25K one week ago. I know I'm supposed to be consolidating my 30 minute runs... I know. :) But I really just wanted to see if I could make it to 5k. I've been feeling anxious about how it will be. Was it possible for me, would it be too much, too hard? I am able to do about 4k in 30 minutes since graduating so I figured 1 more km might not be too bad? I took the whole run more slowly knowing I needed to pace myself well to make it to the end. It took me 42 minutes!

But I'm so happy with that. Not only did I run 5k without stopping, but I ran 42 minutes without stopping! And it didn't even feel too bad though I was happy to finally stop. This is a huge milestone for me and I conquered my fear! I have an ear to ear grin. This program has changed my life!

Back to a 30min run on Tuesday for some more consolidation.
