Hello! Just completed W7R1 - it was hard but I did it. So far I have found I am looking forward to my next run and really enjoying it but the last two runs I have struggled with motivation to get up and go running. I don’t know if it’s the longer runs with less variety or what but I’m not ‘looking forward’ To my next run as I was. Any advice on how to mix it up or get the motivation back? x

What about a new music playlist or finding a new route 😊

Hey JJ, there are so many of us at this W6/W7 point where all we have now are solid runs. Eek! I too am conscious that I don’t want to lose the momentum or the motivation now I’ve come so far. What been working for me is having a tidy up of my music playlists, the one I used last night worked. Other things I can think of may be...

- Have another rest day if you need.

- Change your route, change of scenery.

- Podcasts / audiobooks

- Do it as part of a park run?

I started using one of my runs as part of a park run. Really gives me the motivation my next run is the same as yours w7r2 which I will do at park run tomorrow

Thanks for the ideas, I tried a podcast today instead of music but I may try switching my music up instead as I found running to talking harder as there is no beat! Would love to try a park run but working Saturday mornings stops that, will try one in the school holidays when I have some time off however! So good to hear off others who are doing the same runs this week!

A new route definitely helped me. Nice to have a change and quite good fun planning.
