Waxing lyrical... it occurred to me that because of me (boring people about running :) ) there are 5 people - that I know of, currently completing C25K. I myself was inspired by my two nieces chatting at a party. Hopefully in turn those 5 will inspire 5 people each and on and on.... and the nation will become healthier. We can but hope.

Who inspired you and how many have you inspired or supported.

I was told about C25K by an internet friend of mine in the US.

No one has joined me yet though

This was suggested to me as something my younger son might enjoy, by one of the care staff at his school. Needless to say, he never started it ! I don’t know if I’ve directly influenced anyone to start, but I’ve recommended it to loads of folk.

I was chatting to a running colleague at a work dinner and asked her what the best way to start running was, she said C25K, I started and my work sister then started a run behind me, now one of the guys I support wife and twin daughters have also started!

That's brilliant Julia! I also have someone at work who started plus my sister, sister in law, niece and nephew. My nephew is really fit and healthy but always said he couldn't run... until he saw me, his 50yo aunty with numerous health problems complete it, but I will happily take the competition. :)

Funny you should say that, at Easter, I was just about to graduate and was at a family BBQ, the kids in our family range from 17 to 26, one asked how I was getting on and I said I could run non stop for 30 minutes, they all confessed that none of them could do that!!

Well done you , I always seen people out running as I was out with my dog all the time and I used to say 'I wish I could do that ' so I started 40 minutes of brisk walking twice a day 7 days a week then I couldn't go any faster so the next step was running and I'm glad to say I started c25k in October 2018 and never looked back . Best thing I ever done. Hope you enjoy it as much as me 😊😊
