Proved Myself Wrong

4 weeks ago i put a post on here asking if was too heavy to run, i got some great advice and tips but after that i stupidly decided to let my mind convince me i was too heavy and it would not be a good idea. Today i was feeling more positive and thought you don’t know until you try and if i listen to my body it will soon tell me if i am going to injure myself then i can just stop. To say i am chuffed with the fact that i have managed to fully complete week 1 run 1 with no injuries is an understatement, i am one happy 26 stone man who now knows to ignore the mind and listen to the body. Bring on Thursday and run 2 🏃‍♂️😃

Great job. Keep those negative voices in your head shut out... tell them to “.... off” if you need to. You can do this... and I get the feeling that, having spent 4 weeks thinking about it and then doing that run, you’re gonna complete this and love the journey. Nothing is impossible unless you want it to be... go be an inspiration for everyone starting in your position... I look forward to reading your graduation post.

Well done, just keep it slow and steady and follow the advice on minimising impact in the guide to the plan, and you will be fine.

Wow, well done! Just keep following your own advice, listen to your body and take it nice and steady and enjoy that buzz as you complete each run.

That’s just fab. Take it slow and listen to your body. The 1st run is the hardest in some ways.

Hi Logan. You really can do this. I weighed 22st when I started C25K and have a dicky ticker and arthritic knees. I graduated last week. Go slow and steady and don’t be afraid to have extra rest days if you need them.

Trust the plan and have faith in yourself.

Go for it! I actually found wk1 harder than wk2 but as soon as you start your mind set seems to alter and you become more determined. I am now on wk5 and never thought I'd past wk1 before I started.

Thanks for all the positive comments everyone, I completed my second run of week 1 tonight it felt tougher than the first but completed it and very happy. All these years that have passed since i have done any proper exercise I have forgotten how good that dull aching feels when you have pushed yourself, really excited to keep this going and to see how far i can take it 😀🏃‍♂️
