Well, that's graduation done. Feel a bit dazed really. Nine weeks of walking and running. Never stuck to anything that long I swear. First it was the breathing, then it was the mind "you want me to run for HOW LONG?" then it was the Heavy Legs Syndrome and then it was the motivation "don't wanna, can't make me". 12 and a half weeks, one cold, one 3k and 27 runs later, here I am.
So if you're at the beginning, or half way through. And you think you're too old, too unfit, too big, too tired, too sad, too lazy, too busy to run. You're not. You can do it. Make it work. It don't have to be fast, it don't have to be stylish, it don't have to be graceful. It's just got to get done.
Today's run was a fitting celebration. Found my rhythm, did just over 4k. No major problems. Even managed to speed up in the last k. Next up... New routes, 5k and parkrun!
