Stormed through week 4 and w5r1 and was sooo chuffed with myself BUT clobbered the gin last night and buggered up the first 8 minute run. In fact I only managed 2 minutes before the voice of doom started to tell me to give up. Kept walking though and gave myself a proper telling off!! Managed the second run which is the longest I have done without stopping so not all bad news. Have decided to repeat the day on Monday cos
a sneak peak at w5r3 has scared the bejeepers out of me 🤪 Have definitely learnt that gin and running don’t mix!

Thank you! I knew I needed to do the second run so that I have done the 8 minutes or my confidence would have plummeted. So glad that I at least managed that ha ha x
Cut yourself some slack... the only way you can let yourself down is by not starting the run. Once that start-line is crossed maybe it sucks, maybe we realise water would have been a better night cap than whisky, maybe we we needed more sleep, maybe we didn’t eat right... but definitely we learned, definitely whatever run we did makes us fitter and stronger for the next one... and so we always end the run better than we started it.
Ahh the post night out run! We've all done it, and we've all realised how much the alcohol affects the run... But you have to have a night off every now and then. Make sure you drink enough water today and chalk it up to experience!
