This morning I just about had time for a 30 min run....lots of other things to get done...you know how it is!
So, even though I could see a very dark cloud on the horizon, off I went......I got to the home stretch, pretty pleased with my time...and then it hit....freezing hail, blowing nearly horizontal......well now..do I wait under a tree and hope it passes swiftly? Nope, not this girl, I plowed on...and boy it got tough, but I figure I can hit the shower as soon as I get home. My goodness it stung! I wouldn't recommend running in a hail shower no.....don't do it...... rain yes....hail, nope, just nope....π€ͺπ€£π€£π€£

Congratulations on keeping going in that hail shower, yes you girls are a hardy bunch, that reminds me when I was out a walk during the winter, there was a sudden hail and rain shower, I was covered OK with my hood on and the wind behind me when suddenly coming in the opposite direction with the wind heading straight into her there was this I would say 20 something female running along only dressed in running clothes not making any effort to shelter, I said to her as she passed, "not good running weather" she answered back, 'I must keep going' if it had been me, I would have taken shelter. π π
Haha, yep sounds like me! I couldn't quite believe how wet my running gear was by the time I blew through the front door! HahaπββοΈπββοΈ
Nope, just regular running gear. Personally, by the time I get back home, I'm either soaking wet through sweat, or rain, or both, so it doesn't matter! Hit the shower when you get home. Well done for getting started by the way, keep going, it's addictive you knowπ
Thank you have one more session to do and finished first week but had set back this week recovering from ear infection ! Looking forward in getting out there to complete my first week
Yep always a baseball cap for running, keeps the sun....rain...or hail from hitting me in the face...and, I can still see through my glasses, so it's all good! Oh and gloves.....I wear gloves when it's coldπ
I got caught in hail a few weeks back. I have zero hair and ended up with what our kids refer to as brain freeze, the head ache you get from eating ice cream too fast. So I agree, avoid the hail
I can vouch for the fact that it hurts like hell!.ππ₯Ά
It hail stoned on the day I was born and as it's my birthday today this was a bit unusual. My Welsh grandfather wanted me to be named Cenllysg (balls of ice), fortunately for me, he and my mother had a row, so to spite him I was named something far more ordinary. I often think I dodged a bullet thereπππ
Hi Sonia. I did exactly the same yesterday though it was freezing rain and heavy. I took shelter behind a tree until the worst of it passed, about 3 mins. Good to get in the shower.
