Should have stayed on the sofa today...

Had a great plan for a little run in recompence for the last couple of days eating.... :-)

Runkeeper wouldn't work... almost threw my phone over the hedge...

Legs and lungs didn't seem to want to work either...

Huge rain/hail storm hit me... had to stop under a tree for 5 mins... very painful hail...

Got cold and wet, so turned around for home and hot shower

3k sort of run/walked... tomorrow is another day.... will have a trot on a dreadmill if needs be :-)

Hope you've all got on better today... happy running :-)

Hey Andy :) big plus for getting out there in the 1st place , weather has been rubbish today , I managed a walk 7 and a bit km in rain.sleet and wind , still better than nothing and being on that couch :D tomorrow is another day :D :D

I expected lead legs, yesterday (well, Christmas cake & booze legs)...not so bad in the end, but I just thought being out at all was a bonus and didn't expect much! Set myself a short goal, like in the early days...also thought it wouldn't be so bad if I just ended up walking, given the over-indulgence. Sorry to hear it was a tough run...weather sounded horrid and glad that I don't have to rely on RK anymore. Well done on getting out...Here's hoping you'll be back on form soon enough. :D

Glad to hear you got on better than me, can't see anything wrong with taking it a bit easier now and then!

I don't do the whole Christmas thing, so I've just been out there as usual, but I've hardly seen another runner...guess everyone feels the same way.

Sorry to hear you had a tough time out there Andy. But at least you got out!

I went out for a run this morning but could hardly stay upright because it was so slippery. Came home and did 5k on the treadmill.

I feel your pain! I get so consumed in how awful I look and how unfit I am, I normally give in. Good on you for keeping at it. Tomorrow is another day!

That is a massive improvement on what you ran last Christmas! So don't put yourself down. Well done for going out.

Happy running.

Thanks Franny... might have struggled to go out for a walk this time last year.... 12months later... all change :-)

Never mind Andy, best laid plans and all that :-) At least you got out there mate and gave it a go.

I haven't been out since Christmas Day, it is too icy here and I am scared stiff of falling and breaking something. I am just hoping it will be better tomorrow. I am desperate to get out there considering I have eaten practically my own body weight in Christmas goodies ! :-) xxx
