I know I shouldn’t but had a quick look prior to run 1 of week 5 tomorrow.....run 1 looks like week 4 but run 2 goes from a 5 minute to an 8 minute run😒

I always looked at what I was in for with the next run...Im one of those people who needs to prepare mentally.

Dont worry though, the programme has been getting you ready for the next run...so many people have proved that it works, and it will work for you too...it just happens...nice steady pace and positive mental attitude help, and enjoy, you are doing great!

Spoiler alert! Week 9 is a 30 minute run.

You get fitter. The runs get longer.

The program works. You'll be fine.

Every Week 5 workout is shorter than each of the Week 4 workouts.

I personally can not understand those who don't want to know what the progression of the plan is, when they know that Week 9 will have them running for thirty minutes non stop...............each to their own.

If you can summon up the courage to find out exactly what W5 has in store for you, then this breakdown may put it into perspective. healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Just trust the plan.......it works and you will complete it.......say no more.

Just as a matter of interest IannodaTruffe I have been rerunning part of C25K since April 18. Last year on that date I began C25K. This morning it was the turn of run 3 of week 5.

Dispite me being a graduate I was still a little nervous about that run, however, I ran it without any problems, in fact my pace was a little faster per Kilometre, today was 07.09, last year it was 08.40.

I am more than willing to accept that I may be missing something in the empathy department...........I do my best.

Thanks for your support. If my post had been understood fully, it was more about the jump from 5 to 8 minutes running in one go. Obviously I know it will increase week by week so was just looking I suppose for clarity. It’s wasnt ‘empathy ‘ required just simple understanding of the realistic concerns of some of us. Needless to say I am looking forward to week 5 and the rest to graduation😎👍

Trust in the program, it’s been working to get you in good shape for the longer runs. Try to take it a run at a time and hopefully you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how far you’ve come and it will spur you on to the finish 😊
