Week 5 run 3 , 20 minutes , I can’t believe it !!! So , so happy ... Just a bit of advice please. I normally run on grass but today due to rain conditions etc I ran on the footpath surrounding the park ... I was a bit scared but it went really well should it make a difference?? Oh I even sang as I ran, super pleased .

Well done you, 20 minutes non stop is a great achievement. When you think back to wk1 and how far you've come , enjoy the rest of your day with a smile 😊😊

I still run with a bright scarf in case I drop dead so I’m spotted in the park but I am amazed at this programme. So pleased and thank you 😊

Congratulations Mollyyu on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks 🚶 and runs 🏃

Thank you for the advice, I won’t get complacent 😉

Just take runs 1 and 2 of week 6 particularly carefully and you will be OK🏃👍

That's fantastic, well done.

Running on grass can be more kind on your joints, but the surface is a bit up-and-down and ideally you need to watch where you are running. It can be quite hard/good for the ankles and core stability. In contrast, a path around the park is pretty flat and you are likely to find it easier to run on. It takes less effort to run on the path, but of course the surface is less forgiving. I suggest alternating your runs between the grass and the path to get the best of both worlds.

Thank you so much, I felt I cheated today as it felt on my feet easy and my trainers seems better for running on footpaths ... but running time is what it’s about ...so happy 😆
