I have been working out... clearing and sorting things, so that I am ready to enjoy all the lovely weather to come...
The number of folk on the forum increases daily... and although it is tricky to keep up with everyone's progress... it is great to have a little fun post, so we can see who is on which week of the programme, and hopefully it will help everyone to feel more included on the forum.
We can support, encourage and generally help each other, in a positive and friendly way, with no thought of comparison.
Please remember it doesn't matter if you stay on the same week for a while, that is fine; it is a journey and it really doesn't matter how long it takes, it will be so worth it when you get to the final run.
If you have just Graduated, also, this will be a great place to keep you motivated, and there is always the Quest on the Bridge to 10k forum also, for Graduates., and the new Quest on here too...this month it is called..Spring Fever... and I hope we all catch it
One of the best things about this weekly chat is that you can talk to each other, support and encourage each other and find folk on the same week or run as you.
So, please do come and join the fun...slip off your running shoes and just let us know how it is going

Well, it would be nice to think that us Graduates can encourage the current crop of C25Kers.
I was running my regular 5 Km this morning (1 year, and 2 weeks after starting running after 55 years on my bum) when I came to the primary school and hit my 5Km mark.
Breathing heavily - yes I was going for it at the end, as you do - I wheezed into conversation with one of the young mums. She does Pilates, and Yoga, and she looked very trim to me, so I related the need to do some Cardio, ideally running, and to maintain it through her life. I told her I was nearly 70, and her jaw dropped....
If only someone had told me when I was 25!
(not that I was ever a young mum, you understand....)
All the support is so very much appreciated. Really good to know also that people who had never run before, take it up in later years and do really well. Heartening and motivating. So keep it up cos us newbies need it, appreciate it and love it π
I started at 65...and a week before my 69th birthday in April...I ran my first Half Marathon..It is truly amazing where the running takes you...and the support on here is never ending...where ever you are on your running adventures. It is priceless!
Another graduate here! Just to cheer you all on, no matter what stage youβre at on the programme. I started C25K last May and it was the best thing I ever did. It wasnβt all plain sailing, but I just kept going. I had a lotta lotta laughs at myself and some days were harder than others. But, thereβs nothing like that great feeling from doing something that you just never thought you could. Going out there can still be challenging at times for me, but Iβm still doing it. Iβm not perfect, but Iβm perfectly imperfect! π
Wherever you are on your own personal journey, itβs worth it! And so are you! Keep going you amazing runners, the best is yet to come!! Happy running!! β€οΈ
Did Week 8 Run 1 today - really amazed at how well this is going....only five more runs until graduation...that might have to wait until after holiday.
Fantastic EvieFBsmum! Thatβs just brilliant!! Enjoy your final few runs!! The podium awaits...move over.... another graduate on the way!! Well done you!! ππβ€οΈ
Iβm away from home at the moment, but I really want to graduate next Friday10 th May if all goes well. Missing faithful spaniel but will do a special graduation run with him when I get back home.
Week 9 for me although I feel a bit of a fraud having not done the whole programme. Basically I was scared of someone in my ear telling me what to do and so convinced I wouldnβt be able to run for a whole minute, that I did my own thing for the first 5-6 weeks, while reading up on the plan and aiming to do similar. I finally jumped in at week 5 after realising I perhaps needed the guidance to progress.
Tonight I completed run 1 of week 9 and I am amazed that the woman who couldnβt run for 30 seconds in February, has just run for 30 mins.
Week 4 over here and having a bloody great time! Donβt want the journey to end! Aiming to graduate in June when I turn 40 πππ. Will be a massive massive achievement for me, and one I will hold so dear having met this wonderful communitys
Just completed run 3 of week 1, thoroughly enjoy it at the moment but having to keep a watch one a previous running knee injury from many years ago when I fell training for a half marathon....
Hi, am 61 and starting week 3 tomorrow ππ», really surprised myself that I got through the first 2 weeks π. Reading these posts really has inspired me to strive to reach my goals - get fit, loose weight and run regularly . I know that even running weeks 1 and 2 is so much more than I was doing so Iβm keeping it slow and steady ππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈπ. Looking forward to all that week 3 brings !
Huge well done... slow and steady will get you to the most amazing places
Love the photo that goes with this post Oldfloss! Beautiful blue sea π. Looks a gorgeous place to run.
Iβm trying to psych myself up for W6R3, having had a mad/crazy-busy few days since my last run involving being obligatory early morning mum taxi service for son & hubby leaving on rugby tour; 9 hours spent in fields in the rain being assistant to my landscape architect sister on a site visit - fascinating but phew π ; treat day in London for daughter (Forgot how much walking days like that involve)!
Chilling this morning and having some time to myself with the papers and a coffee. Maybe running later....
Llyn Peninsula - I shall remember that. It looked to be a beautiful day.
Yes, been a busy few days. Finally got out late yesterday after an ear worm π nibbled my ear all day! I posted about it and it seems to have raised a few smiles! There are obviously a few other ear worms about!
Iβve just started extending one run a week to 35 minutes, the first 35 minute run was amazing! Off again this morning with my daughter whoβll be doing W1R2, sheβs loving it so far ππββοΈ
Week 5 for me. Run 1 went very well yesterday, I was even able to faff with my phone (which was being awkward) while running without slowing down, and for the first time ever was able to think about something other than the running. I then went out for a six mile hike in the afternoon! Run 2 tomorrow, and I'm honestly looking forward to it. Never in a million years would I have ever thought I'd feel like this. I've spent my entire life from when I was about 11 thinking 'running is just not for me'. And now I'm not just doing it, I'm actually enjoying it. And you guys on this forum are fab, which helps
Iβve just completed my second week of consolidation runs, canβt quite believe Iβm saying that! New trainers acquired π Iβve pushed on a bit this week to get me to 5k, about 37 minutes of running for me. Iβve enjoyed the stretch but will keep to this distance/time for a few more weeks I think. Enjoying doing my own thing after being worried about no Jo in my ear and feeling a bit lost on the first consolidation run!
Huge well done..running for pure pleasure is simply great..!
I completed week 7 run number 3 yesterday. I am going extremely slow and steady. I finally read the notes under the apple podcast yesterday and realized I was missing out on some good info. Hello all!
