What is Your Week? July... Week 1

Hi everyone...It is July!!!!

I am here again and hoping everyone is full of fun and fresh air:)

I am out running again... slower than a sun-soaked snail on a go-slow but enjoying the very act of being out there:)

The number of folk on the forum increases daily...( the numbers are truly frightening), and although it is tricky to keep up with everyone's progress... it is great to have a little fun post, so we can see who is on which week of the programme, and hopefully it will help everyone to feel more included on the forum.

I apologise if I miss posts or replies, as there really are a lot of us!

We can support, encourage and generally help each other, in a positive and friendly way, with no thought of comparison.

Please remember it doesn't matter if you stay on the same week for a while, that is fine; it is a journey and it really doesn't matter how long it takes, it will be so worth it when you get to the final run.

If you have just Graduated, also, this will be a great place to keep you motivated, and the new Quest on here too...this month it is called..Jaunty June!!!

One of the best things about this weekly chat is that you can talk to each other, support and encourage each other and find folk on the same week or run as you.

So, please do come and join the fun...slip off your running shoes, and just let us know how it is going :)

Thank you!

I did Week 3 run 3 today but really struggled. Have been having 1 rest day between each, but think I've gone too fast through the runs maybe by doing this as technically only started 2 weeks ago. Thinking I might repeat a week 3 run on Wednesday rather than jumping to week 4. Have others done this?

Nothing wrong with repeating runs if one didn’t feel quite right, it happened to me at the end of week 4 so I repeated a run before moving on to week 5. As long as you still have your rest day you’ll be fine.

As long as you have at least one great day between runs you will be fine..

Keep it steady and keep it slow...πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ™ƒ

This morning W4R2 a lot better than W4R1. Had some energy left so carried on last jog to 7 mins. Then usual walk/bit of jog to just over the 5K mark. This morning was 5.2K in 43 mins. I'm ok with that. However at 73 I'm thinking the brick wall might come soon and stop me but we see πŸ™‚
