Hi, I have achieved awards in more than 10 different sports without being a master of any. But I have used the excuse that my arthritic knee is too sore to keep my fitness levels high. About September 2015 my wife and the two boys badgered me to join the walking football club at our local leisure centre. I did and this September I will complete 4 years of playing between 5.00 & 6.00 on Tuesdays. In November 2018 I was diagnosed with sleep apnoea and gave up my driving licence. So I have walked to and from the football and as a surprise at Christmas my wife gave me a fitbit and it’s really motivated me to make the effort to loose weight significantly and get properly fit. Coupled with our commitment to eat healthy (It’s the biscuits&cakes) the weight is reducing so much that I can hardly recognise myself in the mirror. I want to improve my health but when I get to suitable target weight I want to reintroduce myself to jogging which is why I decided to join couch to 5K
