Pity party over, having metaphorically kicked myself up the butt!

Today has been a day of positivity

Rode the ponio this morning and managed to avoid the torrential April showers 🌧 P+ no1

Went to have a look round a gym that has egym technology. I was impressed and have signed up to a 6 week course. Induction session tomoz = P+2 I'll do a post on the egym once ive had chance to use it πŸ’ͺπŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ Chap at gym was very easy on the eye - yes I'm old enough to be his mother but it's still counting as =P+3 oh and he said he didn't think I needed to loose weight πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

Did my run. You know it's not easy emptying your coat pockets into your flipbelt as you run, removing said coat and tying it round my waist but i was determined I was not stopping 🀣 Toxic 10 (the overheating not helping) then got into a reasonable rhythm but I struggled to slow myself down. Defo not at conversation pace today but my legs just weren't listening to my brain. So I puffed my way round the field. Laura tells me 5 mins left to run when I must have hit a glitch in the time continuum because that was a very, very, very long 4mins. The gremlins paid a visit and required a fair bit of bashing πŸ˜ˆπŸ”¨πŸ—‘ Ol' perky pants then says "just 60 seconds left to run, see if you can push on" Some Anglo Saxon phrases were directed at dear Laura. I can only hope she forgives me πŸ™ To summarise, a tough run but I did it = P+ 4

Came home and did 20 mins stretch video = P+5

Then the best bit - I went for a massage- absolute bliss! P+++6

Happy running folks xxx

PS ponio not impressed that I didnt get his good side. He thinks that his part in my mental wellbeing deserves more than his ears to be in shot πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

I just love your posts. !!! I’m sure you’ll make it with this running caper but I think you should find a β€˜forum to best seller writing app’ too !!!

I'm not sure about that 😁 I just prattle on as I find it cathartic but glad it has the added bonus of amusing the lovely people on this forum xx

... That bit about pockets, flip belts, tied-up coats etc... I FEEL your pain. If anglo Saxon phrases are what we’re using then: β€˜Oi jacket... stop *anglo Saxon* flapping round my waist... And YOU zip - stop whacking my thighs...!’ is one of my most uttered phrases... Nice view from the ponio though... πŸ˜‚

This made me laugh although I’m going to have to google what an egym is 😳 well done for staying so positive! Can I be cheeky and ask which stretch video you use? I’m scouting for ideas

Sure :) today I just searched for stretch video on YouTube and found one by Lindsay Samper - she is on Amazon prime too if you have it.

But I do have a great dvd but I tidied up at Christmas and haven't seen it since 😠 I'll have a look see if I can find it :)

Well done youπŸ‘. Sounds like a very positive and productive day... win-win. How did you fit in a run?!!!

I also mastered the art of removing clothing and tying it round my waist whilst running today, it’s really not easy.

Sounds like a great day! No clue what an egym is (predictive text wants to change it to Egypt πŸ™„πŸ˜‚) but if it comes with added handsome guy then count me in! Please tell ponio his ears are beautiful, sounds like he needs the compliment πŸ˜‚

Thank you. Ponio doesn't need any encouragement, though I will pass on the compliment, he knows he is very handsome. If a human he would be quite vain! 🀣
