So the night before I was really looking forward to my last run of week 2 but I had a restless night’s sleep and didn’t get up very early. I was experiencing a bit of a mental block - I literally didn’t want to step out of the front door The Run wasn’t the problem, it was the physical act of getting outside! I had to persuade my husband he needed a newspaper so he could go outside with me! Once I was down the road I said he could go and I was absolutely fine. Anyone else experience this?

Yes absolutely. I find the hardest part is getting out the door. What I do is have all my running gear ready the night before and laid out in the kitchen so it’s the first thing I see when I get up. Then I get my tea things ready so when I get home I know I can have my cup of tea. (0: Keep going and feel very proud of yourself for doing it you are a star x
Thank you! am doing that now. All my running gear is in the spare room so I can get up and ready and go without really thinking about it. I've already been out today and was straight out the door without a second to think - much better for me to go early before people are up and about. Though on the way back I really don’t mind seeing anyone!
Only when the wind is howling and it is bucketing down....and then I think about how good I will feel after the run having my flat white and triple chocolate brownie reward. Works every time for me, but I am a TCB addict.😋 I hope it gets easier for you...you clearly want to do this and I am sure your OH will play their part in helping you over the doorstep on difficult days...that is what we are for😊😊
Out the door is the hardest part of every run. Glad the “gear on first thing” is working for you. 👏🏼 It’s defo what I do. Once it’s on, it would be too much trouble to take it off again without running, so away I go! 🏃🏼♀️
Well done Janice, up and out before I have had my porridge!! My excuse is recovering from yesterday's run! We all have blips and but know we can rely on VRB's on here to help us out...it is a wonderful site.
