Easter morning first 30 minute run!

Decided to do a circular run for motivation but as i hadn’t properly timed it rather than feeling motivated at half way bell as I usually do on a ‘there and back’, I just felt worried I’d be short or left stranded so last half was tough . As it happened, I was back home with only 1 min of warm down walk left which I did in back garden. Was tough though as much hillier doing a circuit and I blooming forgot to set Strava to find out just how slow I was. Any way- now I know the route is ok, maybe run 2 will be more enjoyable. Happy Easter runners all! X

I’m thinking about this for tomorrow. It’s week 7 run 1 so 25 minutes, to get onto the foot path from my home is perfect for the 5 minutes brisk walk, allowing for faithful spaniel to do his business and for me to pick up, then as I just start my run drop off in the litter bin. My mental problem will be passing by the spot that I usually turn round. I think I’ll just have to wait for the half time Bell then turn back. No shame in walking if I’m not back at the start of the footpath. There are a couple of circular walks around here, but they are not on tarmac, and I’m very nervous of falling and doing my ankle in, so I think I’ll have to stick to my original plan. There’s a lovely big hill in there too.

Happy Easter folks!

I think it’s more by luck than judgement, but much better if faithful spaniel does it at the start of the run than right in the middle. This has happened before and of course you have to stop and sort it all out and then get on with running again.! I always am very pleased when he does it at the start and praise him, so I think that’s why he does it then! Oh the joys of running with dogs!
