From “Meh” to “Woohoo x 2”

Woke up this morning feeling decidedly “meh” and not looking forward to starting Wk4. Definitely a case of the doldrums.

What a difference a run makes......

I got a real buzz when Laura told me I’m now officially running more than I’m walking (“Woohoo” moment 1), but when I looked at my recently downloaded Strava app it told me I’d covered an extra kilometre on last week’s runs! Where did that come from?!? (“Woohoo” moment 2).

It truly is amazing what C25K and a little bit of sunshine ☀️ can do for both body and mind.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

I find if I am looking forward to a run I don't do so well, but when I am dreading it I do much better. Still have not worked that one out. Glad you had your Woohoo moments they make the day so much better

I think you’re right!

My mood is as sunny as the weather now 🌞!

I think, when we "dread" a run, we then simply go out and "run" instead of trying to bound joyfully along with a feeling of indestructible high velocity... :)

I too find some of my best runs we're when it was just a case of "really should get one in" instead of "Whopeee!!! - watch out Carl Lewis!" 😂

I think it’s done me good to get a “dread” run which turned into a happy 😊 run under my belt, as I know I can hopefully turn it around again if I wake up having another “Meh” morning.

Yep :) Be sure to keep some of the fun in the run - if it isn't there before it, you're sure to find it during it :)

Well done neighbour ! The days when you can’t be bothered normally turn out to be the best runs. Well done on doing the extra distance too.

Were you running in the sunshine ?

Think I’m getting up at 6am to try to miss it. Everything seems to swell in the heat 😂☀️🏃‍♀️😅

Howdy neighbour! I was out at 8:30, with the sun just warming up. It was beautiful - found another path to take in my favourite place to run 😊.
