Half way to our short break in Cornwall I realised Iโd left behind my newly acquired running waterproof, bought especially so I could keep myself on track and not miss a run because of the weather. Not to worry however, it was far too wild and the relentless winds too strong to make any attempt to keep going on my week 3 progress.
This morning however, I woke to clear skies and no wind. I achieved some personal firsts as well - my first run on roads and running with someone else (infinitely patient super triathlete) who joined me on my joffle and we chatted as we went along . I canโt believe I can now combine running and talking!!
Looking forward to Week 4 and sunny runs ๐โโ๏ธ โ๏ธ.
Where on earth in Cornwall did you get a forecast like that? It rained Monday night but up here on North coast itโs been as sunny as a bumblebeeโs bum ๐
I seem to be ok so far as Iโve done quite a lot of walking today and still feel alright. Itโs given me encouragement to try road running again. Not sure what running shoes to go for now though, as I had been thinking trail shoes as I usually run off road. Do they do a hybrid running shoe that copes with both? I should maybe post that as a question.
