Week 2 - Completed! (And a Question to you all...)

Hi all, hope you're having a good week. I went out early this morning for my last run of Week 2 - and it went really well!! Hardly any calf pain like the last run and my stamina I felt was a lot better.

I now go to Poland for a few days for a competition, and I am back on Tuesday so will do my Run 1 Week 3 run then. Do you think I need to repeat any runs before starting Week 3 as I will have about 6 days break? Please let me know in the comments your thoughts as I am unsure on how long you can go in between and whether that will impact my next run.

Thank you all!

Is there any way you could fit in a couple of runs while you’re away? I think the podcasts are available as downloads too. That way you could keep going. If not, my gut feeling is that as you’re fairly new to the program you might benefit from doing wk2 on your return. See what others say though, I’m no expert. Enjoy Poland.

Thank you that's really helpful. Unfortunately, I am not going to have any time to run as I am going for an intense competition so we have full packed days sadly! I agree that it may be helpful repeating a week 2 run - thank you for your response :)

I guess the type of competition you are doing will have an impact too. If it's physical then you may be ok, if it's sedentary such as chess then I would suggest repeating W2R3 and see how you feel. If it's tougher than today's run then repeat week 2 if you feel ok move on to wk3.

If you are able to grab 10 mins here and there whilst in Poland then go for a brisk walk or run up the hotel stairs. Anything you can to keep you ticking over 👍

Whatever you are doing, have fun 🙂

As the guide to the plan states healthunlocked.com/couchto5... you lose next to no condition in the first two weeks of non running.

Thank you! I just wasn't sure if this applied so early on in the programme but that is reassuring :)

6 days shouldn't make any difference just come back and start wk3. Good luck with your competition 😊

I think they say 2 wks is max gap then repeat some weeks?? I have gone nearly a week and was fine, actually felt better for the rest!! 😁
