Good morning all, I just got home from my 2nd run of week two! I found it a lot harder today than my first run of week 2π€¨. Is this normal?

Week 2 run 2
Well done on completing week 1 of C25K and welcome to the forum, usually people say that week 1 is the hardest, you probably are running a little too fast as the reason that you are finding it a little harder than last week, the runs are 30 seconds longer.
When you are running your third run of week 2, run them a little slower than you did on your second run.
Thank you for that advice. I will be going out again Friday so I will definitely try to run a little slower. I am doing HITT training on non running days to try to build up some strength. Is this maybe not a good idea? Am I over doing it?
No, many people do exercises on their non running day when doing the C25K course. I did plenty and still do, a bit of yoga, planks, sit ups, push ups, my daughter gave me a yoga mat, I bought a pair of 5 Kilogram kettle bells at Tesco on the one day that I do all my shopping, that shopping π bag was a deadweight coming home that day but I couldn't resist not buying them at that very moment.
Just take your runs and exercises gently, this course is not for joining the SAS. π
π€£π€£π€£ thatβs my problem sometimes I think I can run before I can walk. Lol great story I can imagine how heavy those shopping bags were. Good to know I can incorporate this programme with other routines, thanks for that. Moral of the story I need to slow down on everything ππ»
If I can remember correctly when I was around 4 years old I was always running π around the π‘ house and bumping into things my father telling me that "I could run before I could walk" it might be true, lol, I did win some sprints when π running at Primary πΈ. School.
