I managed 11 minutes! Then slowed to a brisk walk for a couple of minutes, then began running again before giving in. I think I already knew I’d failed so I just didn’t see the point in carrying on. I know... not the attitude to have.
I’m genuinely gutted! And annoyed with myself.
Do I have to do the whole of week 5 again or can I just try this run again?
This is my annoyed that I was defeated but damn it for being my own fault face!! Lol
Hope everyone else is getting on ok!!

Don't be too disappointed, probably you just were not in the mood for a run today, you don't need to repeat run 1 or 2 of week 5, however, take at least two days break before you rerun run 3, drink plenty of water the day before you run, do some stretch exercises and run it a little slower than you did today, good luck. 👍
I used some psychological trickery on myself and made a playlist of four 5 minute songs to distract myself and it seemed to work.
I expected to need a couple of attempts for this one, especially as my schedule has meant a four day gap since my last run, so to say I surprised myself is an understatement.
Just repeat this one until you get it under your belt. We all have days like this. I stumbled at run 2 of week 3 but have picked myself up again.
You can do it. Believe in yourself, you ran 11 mins! A few weeks ago I bet you struggled to run 1 minute! You’ve done well and you WILL conquer that run. Go for it (after a rest day or two) 😉
Hi, I do that run this Friday, and if I can’t finish it then I’ll try again on the Sunday. You have done really well so don’t let this be too much of a set back, we can do this!
You'd never run for 11 minutes without a break before today so you've made progress - it's certainly not a fail. However it's worth remembering that the first ten minutes of any run are the hardest (always, not just for beginners, search the forum for 'toxic ten') so if you feel like stopping around the ten minute mark remind your brain that the second ten minutes will not be like the first ten because they never are. Weeks 5 and 6 are very much a mental challenge - your brain tries REALLY hard to persuade your legs to stop. It'll say 'we can't do another ten like that' and you have to remind it that the next ten will NOT be like that.
