Week 5 run 3 completed!

So proud of myself for doing the 20 minutes. My breathing was great it's my lack of stretching before that makes it difficult so I must keep stretching! It says to do week 5 again though. Do I complete all 3 runs again or just keep doing the last one? Did anyone just go to week 6?

Hello and well done. The first time I did the C25K I just did wk5 once. However I'm a bit older and am doing the whole programme again, this time round I repeated wk5 A LOT, especially run2, I didn't want to move on until I felt ready. But everyone is different and if you found week5 okay, go for it. Wk5 was a struggle for me (mostly psychologically). I'm on wk7r3 now. Good luck and keep going 👍

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, many people are a bit scared of that week, especially run 3, the course has prepared you for run 3 of week 5, run 3 is indeed a milestone run with C25K.

Onwards and upwards to week 6 runs 1 and 2 which are back to interval walks and runs which have caught out some people after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊.

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

In my opinion, post run stretching is more important than pre run and note that they are not the same type of stretch.

Enjoy your journey.
