Week 7, Run 1 Having a bit of a back problem

Well that was a slog, but I finished and feel pretty good. I do I have a question... after about 15 minutes of running my back (right side, mid back) starts to hurt. I can push through it but would rather not have it. So, I am hypothesizing - my back is hurting because it is doing the work of my core (core, what core, ain't no core here). So any suggestions for developing some semblance of core?

There is the strengthen and flex program that runs alongside the C25K program (you do it on alternate days), might be worth giving that a go, could be core related..

Make sure you are running tall and not slightly bent over 😊

I am constantly working on this, sometimes it helps distract me from the running.

I get lower back pain sometimes so I hold my tummy in which helps. Maybe you are slouching (easily done) try to hold yourself up like your on a string bring pulled straight up. And stretch afterwards. Google some back stretches.

Hope it goes away.
