Week 2/run 1. I was expecting sore legs, which I have, but not a sore chest. Taken me by surprise. Feels like I’ve had a really bad cough. I don’t move my arms much when I’m running and I look down watching the ground. Could be posture? Got a rest day tomorrow. May take some ibuprofen to help. Other than that, I enjoyed my run in the evening sun ☀️ Still can’t believe I’m doing it👟👟

You are, and you can keep on doing it. We all awaken muscles that have been sleeping awhile. It’s expected to have a few aches or pains but anything persistent should be looked at by a gp. Hopefully you’ll work through it and be enjoying your runs without pain. Good luck.
Thanks.
I had breathing concerns before I started, so I’ve been checked out. I’ve not run for over 30 years, so my muscles are well and truly sleeping. I slowed the pace right down tonight, helped a little. I may repeat some weeks, if it doesn’t improve.
