Week 7 legs

Just finished week 7 but have to confess, everytime my legs have given up at around 22mins. I've then walked for about 2 mins and then run to the end, adding a bit extra on to make up for the break. What can I do to push through to 25 mins?!

When you get that feeling of wanting to stop, focus on something else, anything, have a sip of water, concentrate on the music, think about what your going to have for tea, absolutely anything to take your mind off wanting to stop. It will work.

Hope that helps

Thanks! I know that it's partly a case of mind over matter and so close to the end of the run too! Will try and think of something else and just keep the feet moving!

Week 7 you're doing great. If your legs are going weak, maybe try some strength exercises once or twice a week. Squats, planks, push ups etc.. there's loads of programs on the internet. This will improve strength in your legs and most importantly your core. Swimming is also good for your core. Having that core strength helps when you have to dig deep.

However you WILL improve if you just do what you're doing. Just stick at it. Good luck.
