Well I’m getting used to these longer runs now. I plod along and I’m breathing much easier than I was a few weeks ago. And it seems to be over in no time too. 53 mins this morning and 6.85k... soon be there.
My only grouse is the weather... I have no idea what to wear!!! Last week I wore a thin zip up jacket, and leggings, and a short sleeve tee shirt under it and gloves and a thin buff. Then had to tie the jacket round my waist halfway through but my arms were cold even though I was sweating. And ended up moving the buff up onto my head as my neck got too hot.
The next run a couple of days later was foggy and chillier so I wore a thicker jacket and still had to take it off halfway and find it a nuisance to carry.
So this morning, as it was a bit later and warmer when I set off I wore a thin long sleeve running top and no jacket, no gloves or buff too and I was STILL too hot halfway round.
It’s not hot enough for capris and short sleeves so I expect my next run will be more guesswork. I’m just so pleased it’s dry. I know it’s only March, well nearly April, but I’m enjoying the better weather while it lasts.

This time of year it is hard getting the gear right, it is so changeable, I have a selection of stuff that I can layer and strip off if needed on the run and tie round my waist.
Yeah that’s what I end up doing but as my own personal thermostat doesn’t seem to be in line with anyone else’s it’s still hard getting it right. Not even the menopause either as that was years ago. Just I’m always hot when everyone else is in three sweatshirts. I’m opening the windows as my daughter wants to put the heating on.
I was like that when my thyroid was out, never ever felt the cold, now I am Underactive thyroid I have to get used to feeling the cold, I must admit I prefer it the other way 😂😂😂.
Yeah they’ve checked my thyroid/ glucose levels etc a couple of weeks ago _ everything fine which is great but still doesn’t help me with my temperature control 🤣
Yes, I agree it is difficult to get it just right, especially with the weather being rather changeable! I had a short run this evening - sun out, then a bit of rain and a chilly wind! I have started to use my capris - love them :). Usually wear either leggings or capris, short sleeved top and my lovely lightweight pink jacket - mainly because of the pockets but also because of visibility. I will no doubt have to ditch that as the weather warms up but then will need a waist belt. Enjoy your running
I have trouble with the App. Sometimes it won’t let me post, sometimes the B210k bit doesnt show up. Just because I can’t be bothered to fire up my laptop and try to do it on my phone ...
