I just completed my first run in 15 years!!! As an obese smoker I thought that this was never going to work but told myself I had to try and I honestly cannot believe that I did it.
I feel exhausted but proud of myself for not giving up (and there was a few moments when I wanted to!😣)

Congratulations Melissa90 on completing your first run. In some ways its the hardest one to do as you had to motivate yourself off the sofa for the first time in ages.
Welcome to the forum and we look forward to following your progress
I'm sure one of the lovely Admins will post the link for you, but make sure you read through the "How to run C25K" post. its full of lots of useful info that will help you on the way. For everything else the forum community is here
Hi Melissa90 - I'm an ex-smoker (gave up in October last year) and just graduated, so it can be done. I've even kept on running - use the money you save on not buying cigarettes to buy running gear which keeps you committed to running (well it works for me....)
