Week 5, Run 3 in the bag!

Ok, after all that worrying and procrastinating, I finally just did it. As all of you told me, no way near as bad as I thought. In fact, it was easy; I mean I am really surprised. So at the end of the run Coach Laura suggests doing week 5 over again. I am so stoked I just want to start Week 6 today - No I’m not going to do that. But are there any really good reasons no to move forward?

Congratulations to you Charliemom on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K. If you want to repeat it you may do so. Onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks 🚢 and runs πŸƒ 😊

You don't have to repeat wk5 just move in to wk6 well done 😊

I don't remember Laura saying that- are you sure you weren't deafened by your success?

Well, apparently I didn't hear it quite right - but I was pretty excited. Actually, can't wait to start week 6.

Well done. Move onto Week 6. Laura says this at the end of W5r3:

26:00

That was fantastic. You can slow down and walk for the usual 5 minute warm-down.

Off you go.

I bet that there was no way you could have run for 20 minutes a few weeks ago. Now look at you. You've made some real progress. Keep going with your warm-down walk for now.

31:10

That's it! You're done.

If you weren't able to complete this run, please don't feel demoralised. It's not easy starting something like this from scratch. Just don't let your hard work go to waste. Why not give this week's podcast another go next week before moving on to week 6? From now on there will be a lot more long runs of 20 minutes or more and we don't want you to go too fast or you might get an injury or put yourself off running.

Remember if you would like any more information on having a healthy lifestyle you can always go to nhs.uk.

Well done again. See you next week.

Thanks for the script, I was so elated, that I didn't tune in until I hear Laura say to give week 5 another go... and I thought, but why?
