Well never thought it possible to run 20 min non stop. I have been mentally dreading this last run of the week as it seems so big a gap from run 2. It was perhaps easier than the second run. My knee is killing me and I certainly didn’t break any records in fact slowest time but kept going. Never thought this programme would be right at this point. But it is. This is the first time in my 54 years on this planet that I have run for this long. Why did I not donut when I was younger!

Well done.

If your knee is killing you then you need to rest it. Continuing in pain is the surest way to aggravate the issue.

Follow the advice in the guide to the plan on self treatment and also on minimising impact.

I've done W5R2 today and am asking myself how on earth am I going to jog for 20 minutes!!! It's inspiring to hear that you've done it, well done!! I'm thinking of repeating the same run as I've done today again on Friday as I've got a busy day on Saturday and don't want to ache all over!! I'm feeling it this evening as it is. I'm close in age to you, I'll be 50 in July and have never run in my life (apart from at school reluctantly I guess...)

I’m sure you will cope with the run. I was like you and not sure it was possible. But I’ve learnt that being positive is the most important thing and I also pace myself from the start. Hope you get through it and try to stay positive. I really am shocked at car I’ve come by being positive. Happy run.

I repeated run 2 today but will aim for run 3 on Sunday. Slowly but surely! Thanks for the positivity.
