Just got back from the dreaded run3 and I managed it! I know there are several others who have this coming up in the next couple of days so I just wanted to say that you can definitely do it. Like loads of others I would NEVER have believed that I could run for 20 minutes - well let's be honest it is a 'light jog' rather than a run! If I can keep going then you can as well...
Actually the first 5 minutes seems to take a long time but it really is just a matter of slowing down and keeping going. By the end my legs were like jelly so I'm looking forward to a rest day tomorrow!!
Good luck to everyone else on week 5!

Whoop whoop! Well done Clare. That's the biggie and is such a mental hurdle so good for you. Enjoy that epic feeling the rest of the day and you can have a little celebration tonight 🎉🎈
Heading out for my Week 5 run 3 tonight when I get home from work. Looking forward to it but also not looking forward to it in equal measure A people have said it is just a case of mind over matter, must shove the gremlins to the back of my mind and think happy thoughts.
It is mind over matter, for me a steady sustainable pace was the key to completing it. Let me know how it goes this evening. How do you find running in the dark? That really doesn't appeal to me so I've been getting up and going out at 7:15 am at least that way it is getting lighter rather than darker!
Will update later. I enjoy running in the dark, although my route is all on main roads which are well lit, but the drivers can't see my red face :). I am not an early morning runner, during the week I am up around 6am which then gives me time to get ready for work, have breakfast and watch a bit of tv before I venture across London on my daily commute.
Well done to CookieM and ClarePB. I went out last night and also completed W5R3, was it just me or did time seem to fly, felt like I had only been running for a couple of minutes when Laura piped up saying that 5 minutes had passed.
