Had a great run tonight managed the run without stopping . It's a massive jump from the previous run so was a bit apprehensive about it. Knees aching after but glad to get thru it. Would be interested to know what apps people are using to track their running and whether they use android or Apple phones. Have tried Strava which was recommended to me on my android phone but it could not connect with GPS. Went thru all settings and ended up deleting it ! Into wk6 I go !

Hi Wayne. I completed that run on Friday, couldnโ€™t believe it! W6R1 felt harder. Strange. I use Map My Run, itโ€™s really good. I have an Android phone. Good luck with W6!

I fully agree with you Firefly18, on my new Android Smartphone I use MapMyRun and MapMyWalk in a regular basis, both are sort of linked by are very good indeed, Walk tells you how many steps you have taken, Run does not tell you that, however, if I want to know how many steps I run all I do is switch MapMy Walk on and run, that way it tells you how many steps I have ran, ha.

Well done to you Waynelad on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run in C25K, onwards and upwards to runs 1 and 2 in week 6, but be careful with those two runs as they catch out some people with the last of the interval walks and runs, take them especially slow and steady.

I did wonder what the difference between those apps was! I thought it might detect from the speed whether you'd been walking or running. I'm sure my jogging pace at times isn't much faster than walking!

Well done on completing that run. Do rest an extra day if your knees hurt when you are next due to run. Have a look at NHs one you, there is a page of knee exercises for runners which I need to start as well... again congrats and take week 6 slowww!

Well done on the 20 minute-er ๐Ÿ˜

I've been using Strava, Map my Run and the Huawei health app with my Huawei band (was only ยฃ40 if you also have a Huawei) . I put on all 3 a few times and Strava and map my run where on par and my watch said I ran 0. 2km more so assuming the other 2 are more accurate.

Well done! I also have the Huawei 2 wrist band and use it with the app. They are about ยฃ40 on amazon but I think itโ€™s well worth the money. Even on more sedentary days it spurs you on to be more active with the step count etc. Yesterday I finished on 20k steps ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. On my feet at work all day and then a consolidation run. I was so achey ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ฉ.

Take the time you need before the next run as you definitely donโ€™t want an injury.

I did w6r1 yesterday, having gone from apprehensive to amazed that I managed to complete week 5! I'm now really believing in the the programme, I'm pretty sure it's in our heads to be afraid when our bodies have done the required training. W6r1 was much easier for me than w5, I managed to pick up the pace a very little and to have the break in the middle felt a real treat! Good luck!

First of all well done! Iโ€™ve just looked ahead to R3 having just started W5 this morning, it does seem like a big jump so hoping itโ€™ll be ok!

I use both my Fitbit and Strava to track my runs which both seem to be accurate as they pretty much match each other.

Good luck with the rest of the programme!

Thanks for this Iโ€™ve just down loaded map my run and off to do week 6 run 1! Never thought Iโ€™d manage 20 mins but did it on Sunday, Iโ€™m slow and not covering that much distance so will be good to see what Iโ€™m doing with this ap. cheers!
