Wk5 run 3 oddity

On Friday did the above "landmark run" and though it was tough I got there with the help of MJ and the pilot cast of the Navy Lark recently downloaded from 4xtr. Had to rush after to go to get second daughter who doesn't know mine and Dog child's running secret 🀐 However, seems that I'm missing the buzz most feel after this run. I've been telling myself that I couldn't run more than a minute 4 weeks ago and I managed it first attempt fighting off the gremlins and all of the things others have written about. But still feel only OK about it, is there something wrong with me?

You probably had more faith in yourself and the programme than I did.

For me it was the completely unbelieveable concept of running for 20 mins that I had been staring at for near 5 weeks and those running gremlins in my head that had been telling me I couldn't do it so I might as well give up. Beating those personal demons was a great sense of achievement for me. I should add that I hadn't found this forum at the time and was plugging away by myself in my basement : )

But you probably had more faith in yourself (which is a good thing) and trusted in the programme. And even if you don't feel the wonder of w5 then you rock anyway because you still ran for 20 mins non-stop. As did fur child of course ; )

Onwards to week 6 !

Well done! That's fabulous!! maybe you're just a cool dude and the dog child was the one that got overwhelmed by the acheivement πŸ˜ŽπŸ•. Anyway I think you're marvellous.

The Dog child always gives me a high5 at the end. I think she is secretly relieved she hasn't needed to call 999 🀣

Of course not! You feel what you feel. You'll probably be more buzzed about completion.... I found w5r3 had the buzz for me whereas w9r3 was very.... meh! Everyone is different!

Regardless... well done! πŸ˜πŸ‘ you're on your way now to the longer runs πŸ˜‰

It isn't a land mark run.. it is just a run..just another run that moves us forward:)

You are not odd at all... :)

healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

It got a bad reputation through historic scary posts...

Know you can do the runs...and just believe it... that is what I tell folk...

Huge well done you!

Well done and keep going you are doing great.

There is nothing wrong in not feeling a buzz when others have before you. You may well get yours at another point or not even whilst still on the program. (It is a bit like when people rave about a must see film and you sit there, watch it and think is that it).

I just did w5r1, and felt nothing after doing 3x5 minute runs, whereas on Friday, I felt elated after doing w4r3! Where’s the logic in that?! 😁

Think you're right, I tend to over think stuff, good luck for Wk 5 πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ
