Bad back = no running week, gutted

I hurt my hip/lower back doing housework last Saturday. (That’ll teach me!) Wasn’t too dramatic at the time, and though annoying I thought I’ll just have a couple more rest days before running again...

Well it’s been a whole week now and still no sign of recovery. Haven’t done any of my Week 8 runs :(

Think a trip to the physio is in order, but just wanted to share my frustration because I’m so close graduating and I’ve now had to put the brakes on. Grr.

Have you heard of McKenzie Back First Aid? It's on Google

I have used it for years and converted my husband, who never does anything but ride his bike.

Any twinges and we get the mat out for a few days. Works for us 👍

Good luck

Some stretching and core work will really help. Also when you are better start Pilates as that is beneficial too. :)

I’ve done a bit of yoga before but never Pilates so will give that a try when I’m better. Stretching and core strength stuff is def something I need to up my game on.
