I run some pretty.... derelict routes... which are known to be quite unsafe, but unless I'm willing to travel out about 20 miles, there's nowhere else for me to run.
Understandably, my s/o gets worried about me. I also get pretty worried myself when I run.
Is there some sort of app that can track where I'm running and can relay this information back to my s/o phone so that he can keep tabs on me, and so I can feel safer?
Preferably it would also say how quickly I'm moving, so if I suddenly start moving at like 30 miles an hour, it would obvious that something's not right

Strava has that function for a subscription, I’m not aware of an app that does it for free though. I believe it tells them when you set off, when you’re done, if you fall and also if you stop unexpectedly for too long. It costs £2 a month... or you can go full premium Strava for £4 a month adding training and extra stats.
I don’t use strava so I can’t comment on how good the features are.
My SO and I use Find My Friends on our iPhones. It pin points exactly where you are. I run in a couple of locations that early morning are totally devoid of people my SO gets concerned that I may fall and not be found for a good while. I always tell him my route and roughly how long I will be. Stay safe 😊🏃🏼♀️
I’ve used this feature in Endomondo to track the progress of my wife when she ran a Women’s 10K. I could also type out some pep messages which got converted to audio and played over her earphones as she was running.
