Ok my lovely running family...desperate to get out there again...injury to arm will be 8 weeks this Thursday. Movement still hampered and incredibly painful if I catch it wrong...but, can a gentle jog one night be such a bad thing? Gentle movement as long as I change the way I use my arms normally? Having another sports massage tomorrow so hopefully will start to see improvement. I just don’t know what to do, is making me sad 😔

So sorry for your injury Polly2810, sadly as you have been off running for so long, as you are a graduate and have not ran for 8 weeks you will have to resume your runs slowly, I hope it won't be too long for that, in the meantime I hope you enjoy reading all the other posts from runners and graduates on this forum.

Enjoy it, but more I read the more sad I get..yes fully intend to start gently , am a graduate twice over, so might as well make it three! 🤣

Hey Polly... you know that you can do this (a couple of times) so at worst you start all over again and show everyone how it’s done again.... hopefully you’ll be able to drop in somewhere around where the long runs start if you’re not off much longer. Keep up as much other exercise as you can do while you’re out, that will only help.

Have a new arm free challenge...hula hooping!! 🤣🤣🤣 yes I am not worried, if I start all over again, then so-be it..I know I can do it, second time was easier than first, so third time will be even easier! 🤪 will keep you posted, see how this week goes and go from there.

Oooh hula hooping. I started hula hooping again about 5 years ago and was really enjoying it. We did a couple of displays- I bought a second lighter hoop to help with more difficult tricks and then.... my instructor changed tack and started doing more Pilates and massage and then finally stopped the hoop lessons altogether.

For a while I used to practice in my back garden every day .......then a couple times a week......then it dwindled and I’ve forgotten a lot of the tricks now.

I hope you enjoy your hooping.
