Starting again W1r1

Well after a false start last year and causing my knee a lot of pain I have finally been signed off by my physio and I can get back to it, physio has suggested doing each week twice to let me knee build up before moving on to the next week. So come tomorrow after work I will be lumbering around my local area on w1r1, at least the weather looks good. Anyone got any good advice on making sure my over extending knee doesn’t take me out again.

Welcome back.

Don't forget to check out the guide to the plan for basic advice healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Keep your pace slow, avoid heelstriking, keep footfall under your body not out in front, run on grass or treadmill and wear proper running shoes fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop, is the general advice to keep impact minimal.

Stretch after every run, as per the guide.

Take care.
