Just over a month after graduation I’ve finally run 5k. It took me ages (52 mins) but I did it. Hopefully I can now increase speed and decrease time.

Brilliant! I too am slow and tend to run alone but parkrun is good for company and inevitably you go a bit quicker because of all the people around you!

Congratulations and well done. Getting to 5K is a great achievement. I agree, Parkrun is a great way of gauging your progress and a lovely way to kick off your weekend.
