So that went to plan and was slow but up a hill. Now will do some strength work and stretching so I’m ready for park run! Very nervous!

Nice photo of all those jet contour trails left by all those planes flying over 30,000 feet up in the sky.

Good run for you this morning, all uphill, that with the strength work and stretching will make your running much better.

Thanks AlMorr. Yes the plane trails are bitter sweet, very pretty but so bad for our planet.

I agree, all those extreem temperatures around the world from - 50C in North America to +50C in places like the Middle East and parts of Australia.

Park run will be great! It's a run not a race so stick to what you want to do. I did my first one last week and started off with 5' warm up walk and then went on to do my w7r1 so I ignored everyone else and just did my thing. Then walked / run at intervals that I'd sort of decided on before hand. The staff are incredibly supportive, I bet you'll get addicted.

Good to know! I’ve checked the times people have run at my one and I’m aiming not to go too fast as don’t want to risk my knee going again !

Mine turned out to be a reasonably fast group if people but despite being in thenlast packet I still enjoyed it and I just wanted to work out how the whole thing worked. I’m sure that if I did it again my time would improve etc

I’ve just read your report in yr first park run. Well done on doing it in yr week 7! So I’m going to wear layers that I can take off and put round my waist if I need to. I’m used to running on hills and grass so I think I should hopefully find this park run quite flat and it’s on asphalt I think.

Think the first one is just getting used to how it works and then I will do better next time I expect. Do stay on for a drink with the volunteers afterwards they usually very nice

Well done CatMo! I keep driving up a really long hill and am considering parking up and seeing how far I can get up it one day! Then running back down 😊

Also considering doing my first Parkrun tomorrow, as my son is unexpectedly going to be elsewhere... I’ll see what the weather is doing and how I feel in the morning... equally nervous lol... good luck to you! 🍀
