W20ish and man flu 🀒🀒

Just recovering from a proper bout of man flu 🀒🀧😷 and haven't run for a week and was getting proper itchy feet 🧦

Ventured out on Wednesday and managed 2.5k before my lungs ached so much I thought they were going to pack in (reminded me of when I was doing some of the early weeks and felt I needed extra lungs to get me through.

Left it until yesterday and was determined to go out and get a proper run done πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ and although I could quite happily have given up again early on I managed a slow 5k

Still running on my lonesome πŸ’” and still running every week 3 times and was up to 17k a week before my near death experience (man flu is no joke ladies)

Hope everyone is well and enjoying their runs

Have a great week

Well done Wolvesmad. Now wrap yourself up warm and look after yourself until you are fully better πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Thanks jayval. The force is strong and I'm not sure how much longer I can hold it off 🀣

Sorry you're poorly, I feel your pain. I haven't run for almost 2 weeks as I have a bad back as a result of a slight bump in my car. I hadn't realised how much I enjoyed my running until I wasn't able to get out. Felt so fed up the other day I almost signed up for the Great North run just to have something to aim for πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚ Hope you feel better soon, I enjoy following your progress.

Sorry to hear you have a bad back. Not pleasant and I speak as someone who suffered for almost 3 years on and off.

How is your running journey going. Still to plan?

Thanks, yes was running 3 times a week. Typically 1 x 5k, 1 x 7/8K and a shorter run at the weekend. Still haven't got round to doing a park run but have been looking at a 7k run at Blenheim Palace in April, will have to see how I feel in a week or so. I'm sure you'll be back to peak fitness soon πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Man flu is awful... you have my sympathy.

Good comeback runs... you’ll be back where you were in a few runs.

Madame Loris caught a bout of man flu once. Knocked her for six.
