I was listening to Radio 2, Sophie Rayworth and Jo Wiley trying to convince Simon Mayo to start running, they mentioned Couch to 5k, sounded good, I took the first step so to speak by asking for running gear for Christmas.

Men in tights (they have taken some getting used to), I added shorts a week later over the top as Wayne Sleep came to mind!

I started week one on a freezing cold Saturday evening, followed by a freezing cold Monday and even colder Wednesday, all at night after work. It's rained once since I began, off I went into dark wet night. Snow has also featured but have still ventured out running avoiding the ice.

I like the Jo Wiley voice as it was her who I heard on the Radio that started all this.

Anyway I am shocked, surprised, excited, overjoyed as I have just completed Day 3 of Week 5, I ran for 20minutes, recovered quicker than I thought possible and am now settling down to a lovely glass of tap water.

I have also been inspired by reading man of your stories on here.

Love it...

Congratulations on running and completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K. Onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs. Nice that you were inspired to start C25K by listening to Jo Wiley on Radio 2.

Welcome. Great journey so far... well done battling the weather and completing that 20 minute run. I wonder how Mr Mayo is doing with it?

Shorts certainly needed over tights for the guys 😂

Enjoy week 6.
