Help please...Not sure ...

I really struggled on Saturday with Wk8R2 after 7 days of no runs due to the snow. I had to walk 1min in the middle. So, today I decided to go and repeat Wk6R2. I took it steady and completed this with no problems. Now here’s the dilemma ... do I go back to wk8 & repeat R2 or do I continue from wk6r3? Your Thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

You were correct on repeating run 2 of week 6 which is the last run with walking intervals, glad you enjoyed your run.

Perhaps you should run a 25 minute run before running the 28 minutes of week 8 two days later.

Thanks that sounds like a good idea.

Only you know how you feel....For confidence..maybe run Week 6 and run 3 and then decide... If you take it steadily and slowly you should be fine. Listen to your body :)

Well done

As stated in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... you lose next to no condition in the first two weeks of non running, so dropping back a couple of weeks was probably totally unnecessary.

This is your journey...... you are in control.

My philosophy is that you are better off tackling the new challenge, by stepping outside your comfort zone and is laid out in this post healthunlocked.com/couchto5... so I would say try W8R2 and if you don't complete it, you repeat it.

Just stay on wk8r2 until you complete it without stopping no need to go back a week good luck

W6R3 is 25 mins W8 is 28 mins. Why not let your body decide? Do 25 mins, take it slowly, and if you’ve got more in the tank then keep going. Psychologically if you do 25 mins it’s a win, then no pressure but if you keep going it’s doubly good, rather than aiming for 28 and feeling it’s a failure. PS It took me 11 weeks to finish C25k. I was still mega happy when I got there 😁
